MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) Immunity Blood Testing

This blood test is used to assess your immunity to the virus(es) that causes the Measles, Mumps and Rubella infections by determining if you have antibodies to either one of these viruses.

Why take this test?

  • To determine immunity prior to planning pregnancy 

  • Determine your immunity for work or for university

  • To see whether vaccination for MMR has given you sufficient protection, immunity may also be due to previous exposure to virus

  • Unsure whether you received vaccination as a child
